Etching “Bees in an hourglass” November 2011
Process notes -The copper plate was dirty with the F66 ink i had previously used , then I used the “chocolate ” ink ( see “your sweet chocolate factory “ etching )
Etching , ” Your sweet chocolate factory “, November 2011
In this etching:
The pilgrims are returning from the factory , they are vomiting in a procession . The figures in the center : a lady in a cake and an orgy of sexual beasts .
Note to self : For the chocolate colour the inks were a mix of prussian blue, red and yellow, oil and I added talk when it became too gooey . Works well in paynes grey too.
This is an etching of a naughty little pot . ” Porn pot ” It is my tribute to Grayson Perry .
I donated a better print of this to the museum at Windyridge .
I didnt put enough ink on the plate and the paper wasn’t wet enough .
This is a subversive version of a painting I almost saw in Bruges
I made this etching in the process of stopping breastfeeding Woody. Stopping is an emotionally painful experience . I felt selfish .
This etching is also about corrupting sacred images of Maddonnas . Exposing the bogus religiosity of the old Masters.
“The penis tree” ( “L’albero della fecondita’ “), from a medieval fresco in Grosseto in Southern Italy . Apparently it has been recently unveiled after years of restoration and the penises had been scrubbed out .
Better a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy … etching
